UK-based Four Candles (aka Kris Brown) has quietly become a distinctive voice in progressive house – writing electronic music that sidesteps fast-moving trends, and threading the edges of neighbouring genres into a sound and style that is entirely his own.

His artistic break came in 2022 with the chart-topping ‘Devious’ on Bedrock Records – a label he has made a home and has landed several releases with – alongside captivating productions on Balance, Selador, Sudbeat, Diviine and his own established imprint, Keep Thinking Music.

A true testament to his output, Kris has earned the honour of remixes from legendary DJs Hernán Cattáneo and Nick Muir, cementing his position as a respected artist.

His music features regularly on John Digweed’s Transitions show, where he has also been a repeat guest DJ. In 2026, Digweed featured ‘Eudaimonia 303’ (with Feemarx) on his Live at Twilo release – momentum that carried through to Global Underground, where Spencer Brown selected two of his productions for the revived nubreed series, the first time Four Candles and Keep Thinking have featured on the imprint.

As a DJ, Kris’s performances are awash with vibrant, emotional and spiritual keynotes. His ability to read the dance floor and freely inspire connection has established him as a trusted selector, headlining events in the UK, Europe and South America.

Recent highlights include a back-to-back set with Anthony Pappa, and joining John Digweed at Bedrock’s inaugural Liverpool event in 2026 – one of several occasions supporting him across England & Scotland. He also holds a residency at b_sides social – his own night in Leeds, UK, built on connection and community.
